Tsukushi: Just a few hours ago we were having stew at my apartment,
Tsukushi: and Doumyouji was saying he'd be returning to New York tomorrow...

Tsukushi: Every second of time together was so precious........
Tsukushi: So--

Doumyouji: Big eel?
(Doumyouji doesn't understand the word she used, "oounabara", and responds by 
repeating what he thought she said, "oounagi")
Tsukushi: ........ Why are we in-the-middle-of-the-ocean?
Doumyouji: I dunno.
Doumyouji: This isn't my ship anyway.
Tsukushi: Huh?!
Tsukushi: Then whose ship is it?!
Doumyouji: How the hell should I know?! I was knocked out by a stungun!
Tsukushi: Well they blindfolded me and stuffed me in the trunk of a car!

Tsukushi: When I woke up, we were inside the ship and you were unconscious. I 
didn't know what I should do...
Tsukushi: I was scared...
Doumyouji: Anyway, let's go see if there's anyone inside.
Tsukushi: Okay.
(they start to look around)
Tsukushi: Hello-o!
Tsukushi: Is anyone there??

Doumyouji: It's like a ghost ship.
Tsukushi: Yee! D-don't say things like that, cut it out!
Doumyouji: (grinning) Are you scared?
Tsukushi: I--
Tsukushi: I am not scared!
Doumyouji: Hey, is that a human shadow behind you?
(she throws her arms around his neck in terror)
Tsukushi: Gyaa!
(geez, get a grip girl!)
Tsukushi: Wh...where, where, where?!
Doumyouji: (as his hair is being pulled) Owww. My neck is breaking!

(Tsukushi suddenly realizes how close her face is to his. She lets go, and turns 
away red-faced.)
Tsukushi: Sheesh! What's with you?!
(she hits him with a roundhouse kick)
Doumyouji: Oww!
Tsukushi: Uwaa! What am I doing??
Doumyouji: There's no one in the control room either.
Doumyouji: Which means, this boat is locked on auto-pilot.

Tsukushi: ........ Which means, what?
Doumyouji: This ship is headed somewhere, and it won't stop until we get there.
Tsukushi: Ah, I see.
Tsukushi: Ehh?! Then where are we going?!
Doumyouji: I told you I don't know! [don't be so shocked over every little 
thing! it's annoying!]
Tsukushi: We don't know when or where we'll arrive. We're over the sea.
Tsukushi: And on top of that, there's no one around

Tsukushi: and me.

Doumyouji: Those SPs weren't from my household either.
Tsukushi: ...... How can you tell?
Doumyouji: They wouldn't be able to get away with doing something like that.
(he cracks his knuckles)
Doumyouji: I'd search them out, and kill them myself.
(Tsukushi's stomach growls loudly)
Tsukushi: Oh my.
Doumyouji: Come to think of it, we were interrupted in the middle of eating the 
stew.
Doumyouji: I'm pretty hungry too. For the meantime, we might as well go look for 
something to eat.

(they enter a room filled with odd outfits)
Tsukushi: Wow, look at this!! Could this be some kind of costume room?!
(she puts on a wide-brimmed hat)
Tsukushi: Do normal luxury liners have this kind of stuff in them?
Doumyouji: I've never seen a ship quite like this.
Doumyouji: But don't you think this would suit you better?
(he pulls off the hat, and stuffs a cutesy panda head on her instead)
Tsukushi: Oof.
Doumyouji: (grinning) Amazing. Even with it on you don't look any different.
(she pulls it off, red-faced, and yells at him)
Tsukushi: Anyway--
Tsukushi: If we can't do anything about it, it can't be helped.

Tsukushi: We might as well make the best of things.
(next, they enter a large hall with a musical stage and many chairs set up for 
spectators)
Tsukushi: There are so many instruments in here. I guess it's some kind of 
orchestra room?
Tsukushi: Come to think of it, it kind of reminds me of that time I was forced 
to play the piano suddenly at your house.
(Doumyouji sits down in front of the grand piano and starts to play. Tsukushi 
watches him in surprise.)

Tsukushi: In...incredible!! You play the piano?!
Doumyouji: Of course. I've had "eisei" training every since I was 3 years old.
(Hmm, flashback to volume 5... Might as well use the same explanatory note I 
used then: 'What Doumyouji meant to say was "eisai kyouiku", which translates to 
something like "advanced/gifted education". "Eisei" however means 
"hygiene/sanitation" or "satellite".')
Tsukushi: ...... That's "eisai". You should've had them teach you Japanese as 
well.
(Doumyouji stops playing)
Tsukushi: Ah, why are you stopping? Play some more.
Doumyouji: When I was 8 years old, I got fed up with it and destroyed my piano.
Doumyouji: So that's as far as I learned.
(Tsukushi pictures a little-Doumyouji axe rampage vs. a helpless piano)
Tsukushi: ........ I shee.
Doumyouji: The other guys can play all sorts of instruments.
Doumyouji: Violin, flute, cello, piano.

Tsukushi: Woww, maybe someday the 4 of you could form a quartet together.
Tsukushi: That would be really cool!
Doumyouji: Yeah.
Doumyouji: Someday maybe.
Tsukushi: Oh...
Tsukushi: That's right.
Tsukushi: That "someday"
Tsukushi: is most likely a "someday" that will never come.
(actually, technically, the F4 could still start a quartet whether she was there 
or not... ^^)

(Tsukushi picks up a triangle)
Tsukushi: Alright, then I'll join in with this triangle!
(she proceeds to clang on it cacophonically)

Doumyouji: That's so freaking annoying, quit it!

Tsukushi: But this is all I can do!
(Doumyouji smiles, flowers flowers...)
Tsukushi: The moment I knew I would lose him--

Tsukushi: When this boat reaches its destination, we'll probably never see 
eachother again.

(she turns around fearfully)

Tsukushi: Ah... that freaked me out. It was just the sound of rain.
Tsukushi: This place is too big. It's scary...
Tsukushi: Maybe I should go rejoin Doumyouj--
(she clenches her fist)

Tsukushi: Anyway, right now I should concentrate on finding something to eat.
(she throws open another cupboard, and a bag of flour falls on her head)
(Doumyouji, meanwhile, is leaning against the railing on the deck, absently 
looking out at the ocean)

(the rain plips down on him lightly)
Doumyouji: ... Dammit. Why did this have to happen?
(he bangs his fist on the top of the railing)
Doumyouji: It's weakening my resolve!
Tsukushi: There was another time when we were alone on a boat together.
(after Doumyouji's birthday party, in volume 16)
Tsukushi: At that time, I didn't know my feelings towards Doumyouji.
(she stands in one of the ship's showers, letting the water spray over her as a 
white powder gathers near the floor)
Tsukushi: My hair is all caked with flour...
(she pours some shampoo into her hand)

(the sky darkens outside)
Tsukushi: You can't tell where the sea ends and the sky begins. The sea at night 
seems like it might swallow you up.
Tsukuhi: I was just a little frightened.
Tsukushi: Now I guess I'm in the middle of that dark sea.
Tsukushi: (scrubbing her hair) But I'm not scared of the darkness anymore. 
[hmph]
(lightning and thunder rumble in the sky above)
(and Tsukushi's eyes widen in fear)

(the shower lights fizzle out)
(Tsukushi stands in the darkness, naked and wet, and I'm guessing cold, with 
eyes bulging out)
Tsukushi: [GYAAAAA]
(the ship keeps plowing through the roughening sea... hmm, is roughening a 
word?)

Doumyouji: Makino?! What was that noise??
(Doumyouji walks through the ship shoeless, with hair dampened from the rain)

(Tsukushi crashes into him in the darkness)
Doumyouji: Agh.
Tsukushi: I-it suddenly went completely dark!!!
Doumyouji: Yeah, the lightning must've caused a blackout......
Doumyouji: By the way, aren't you kind of wet?
Doumyouji: Uh? Or is it me who's wet?

(the lights switch back on suddenly)
Doumyouji: Oh, it's back. Hey, why did you yell like tha...?
(he trails off and his eyes widen)
Tsukushi: Ah... Ahh, I was just surprised.
(she realizes abruptly that she ran out of the shower without putting any 
clothes on)

(Tsukushi in a semi-Chinese-style sleeveless shirt, with a little panda beanie 
hanging onto her shoulder)

(a puddle has formed beneath Tsukushi, and she slips on it, falling to the 
floor)
Tsukushi: U... uwawawawawa.

(Doumyouji takes off his shirt and tosses it to her)
Doumyouji: (turning away) Put that on.

Tsukushi: (with the shirt now covering her) Did... did you see?
Doumyouji: No, I didn't see your chicken-leg body.
Tsukushi: It sounds like you saw it quite well!!
Tsukushi: Uuu! I can't believe this!
Doumyouji: I'm the one who was surprised, you know.
Doumyouji: It's like putting food in front of a starving man and not letting him 
eat it.

(Tsukushi's face reddens a little)
Tsukushi: My head is reeling.
Tsukushi: This clothing that smell of Doumyouji's expensive cologne--
Tsukushi: the large back in front of my eyes--
Tsukushi: and me without anything on!

(the ship rocks slightly in the storm)
(Doumyouji sits staring off into space, and Tsukushi has her face buried in her 
arms)
(he looks at her in irritation, then slams his floot down onto something or 
other)
Doumyouji: How long do you plan to stay huddled up like that?! Enough already!

Doumyouji: You shouldn't get that depressed just because I saw you naked.
Doumyouji: It's no big deal.
Tsukushi: (raising her head slightly) ... Uhuh.
(he's surprised by her reaction, and peers at her face more closely)
Doumyouji: ...... Hey, you're looking really green in the face.
Doumyouji: Are you feeling seasick from the swaying?
(she plops her head into her arms again)
Tsukushi: I'm fine.
Tsukushi: What should I do?
Tsukushi: The swaying is really making me feel awful.
Doumyouji: Throw up.

Tsukushi: I don't want to.
Doumyouji: Forget "I don't want to". Let's go to the bathroom.
Tsukushi: No, it's embarrassing.
Doumyouji: Idiot, what are you talking about?
(she tries to push him away, while covering her mouth)
Tsukushi: It's fine, leave me alone.
Tsukushi: I'll be in trouble if I start moving.
(he ignores her refusals, and hoists her up into his arms)

Doumyouji: If you have to throw up, feel free do it whenever you need to.
(Tsukushi looks surprised and touched, but keeps her hand over her mouth as 
Doumyouji carries her through the hallways)
Tsukushi: Doumyouji.

(Doumyouji puts his hand on her shoulder gently, as she leans over the toilet)

Tsukushi: I think I'll be fine now... Thanks.
Tsukushi: Yeesh, you saw me in a really embarrassing state.
Doumyouji: [hmph] That's nothing new.
Tsukushi: {annoyance}
Doumyouji: Anyway, go to sleep for a while.
Doumyouji: I'll come back to check on you later.

Doumyouji: It's kind of late to say this now, but

spray from the waves has made his hair damp again.)
