Hisashi:  Walk to school together?
Nao:  Un!  Since we’re supposedly going out now, this wouldn’t hurt that rumor 
because it’s a very normal thing to do as a couple!

Hisashi:  Why have you been so touchy-feely-like recently?  And why do we need 
to prove that rumor so much?  Okay… let’s go then!  But if you’re too slow, 
don’t expect me to wait for you.
Nao:  Right!  Just watch me!
Hisashi:  Hey!  Let’s leave now~

Nao:  Hold on!  I overslept… argh, my hair won’t lay flat~
Hisashi:  ….. well then, I’ll just leave first!  Take your time!
Nao:  Hold on!  Just give me 3 more minutes…
<sound FX: door closing>
Nao:  3… 3 minutes… So that’s how it went~ you don’t think that’s being cold?

Marina:  If you had only woken up 3 minutes earlier, there wouldn’t have been a 
problem, right?  Just don’t dwell on whether Hisashi’s a cold person or not.
Nao:  Well… you have a point!  But it’s November now, and every morning it’s 
freezing, so even if I woke up earlier, I’d sit in bed until the last minute.
Marina:  ….. Nao, do you really want to get closer to Hisashi?
Nao:  Well, yeah… but I’m pretty happy with the status quo, too!  And it’d be 
one less thing to worry about.
Marina (with labeled hands): That’s not the right way to go about this…

Marina:  Geez, Nao~ you’ve got no drive at all~ if I were you, I would have long 
filled the space of Hisashi’s femal caretaker and chef!  Good flavor!  Good 
beverages!  Good food!
Nao:  Girl… If I don’t succeed in that, things would turn for the worse.  But 
I’ll give it a shot anyway!
Marina and Nao make plans but as they are about to leave, a paper falls out of 
Nao’s bag.

Nao:  This is… is this… “after class, I’ll be waiting behind the back of the 
school.  3-C, Abe Jun.”
Nao explodes.
Marina:  Wait wait, Abe Jun… is it *that* Abe Jun!?

Nao:  Marina, you know him?  But then again, you know all the guys in the 
school.
fMarina:  Un!  In the world of adoring fangirls, he’s quite notorious.  He’s the 
“King of Confession”!!
Nao:  “King of Confession?”  what’s that supposed to mean?
Marina:  As soon as he likes a girl, he’ll immediately confess his feelings, but 
always gets rejected!  Ah!  Here we go!
Nao:  Huh? I’m feeling a bit unsafe, now.
Marina:  Hm?  Oh, it isn’t that he’s revolting.  It’s just the way he goes about 
trying to get a girlfriend.  Sometimes he doesn’t seem completely sincere.  
Look!  That’s him!  He’s kinda cute, huh?
Nao:  Yeah~
Marina:  Poor thing, that he’s just gonna get rejected again.  Guess he doesn’t 
know that Hisashi’s your boyfriend?  Even though the world knows already…
Nao:  Huh?  Boyfriend?
Marina:  Even if it is all a sham.

Nao:  Marina, you’re so mean…
Marina:  I just want you to work on it!  Hurry and change “sham” to “for reals”!
<sound FX: school bells>
Hisashi:  Marina.  Is that friend of yours here?
Girls:  Uehara Hisashi!  He said “that friend of yours”!  I wish he’d refer to 
me like that!  Nao is so lucky!
Marina:  She’s not here at the moment… Hisashi, do you know an Abe Jun from 
class C?

Hisashi:  Don’t know.
Marina:  Well he’s the notorious “King of Confession”.
Hisashi:  “King of Confession”?  What’s that supposed to mean?
Marina:  Well, he just summoned Nao.  Ah!  I’ve got stuff to do, so I’ll be 
going now.  Nao’s behind the school.

Jun:  Nao, please go out with…
Nao:  I’m sorry!

Nao:  I’m really flattered that you’d want to go out with me, but I’m already 
going out with Uehara Hisashi from class A.  Even if it is fake.  So… sorry.
Jun:  …
Nao:  Umm… ah…
Jun:  You mean… Uehara Hisashi?
Nao:  Hm?  Un!
Jun:  He’s got what girls like?
Nao:  Yup!
Jun:  I’ve heard about him having a girlfriend… I never would have guessed it 
was you…
Nao:  “Never would have guessed”… what’s that supposed to mean?

Jun:  This world is so unfair… I just want to be a regular guy with a 
girlfriend… it’s because of guys like Uehara Hisashi that spurned souls like me 
exist…
Nao:  Is it?  Everybody has different tastes in people, I’d think there’d be 
just as many girls who like you as Uehara Hisashi.
Jun:  Huh…

Nao:  What?  I didn’t say that convincingly enough?
Jun: Nope
Nao:  Well, don’t worry!  I’m sure you’ll find a cute girlfriend someday!
Jun:  Un…
Nao:  Good luck~
Jun:  …

Nao:  Marina, sorry for making you wait…
Hisashi:  Ah.
Nao:  Huh?  Hisashi!  How strange, why would you be in here?
Hisashi:  Marina said she had stuff to do, so left early!
Nao:  Oh?  So what about you?  What are you up to?
Hisashi:  I was waiting for you, duh!
Nao:  Huh?
Hisashi:  I forgot to tell you that you don’t need to make me dinner today.  My 
work place is having a dinner.
Nao:  Geez!  You could have just called later to tell me!

Hisashi:  I’ve already waited, so don’t complain.
Nao:  <He just doesn’t get it…>
Hisashi:  Well…
[Translator’s note:  Hisashi’s may be about to call Nao, “Nao-chan”, but instead 
he talks about food, continuing from that sound, so his answer’s pretty 
ambiguous]

Hisashi:  The fishballs in the soup last night tasted really good.
Nao:  Hm?  <I thought that this “King of Confession” would have some freaky 
vampire face, but he’s actually kinda charming.>  <Jun-chan and Hisashi are 
virtual opposites.  Even though Jun’s been rejected all those times, he still 
continues to move onto other crushes.>

Nao:  <But then there’s Hisashi, who has only ever liked one girl before…>  
<Stop… you’re just making yourself feel worse!>  <Just go to sleep!  I’ll walk 
to school with Hisashi tomorrow.>
<Next morning>
Nao:  To the doctor’s!?
Hisashi:  yeah, I’ve got a bit of a fever, so I’m going to stop by the hospital 
before going to school.  It doesn’t open until 9 though, so I’ve still got time. 
 But you should just head on like normal!
Nao:  I woke up early  and everything…
Marina:  Morning, Nao!  Alone again today?
Jun:  Sigh~

Mi-chan:  What’s wrong with you?  You don’t look so hot.
Jun:  Mi-chan.
Mi-chan:  You got rejected again?  Ah, I guess so.
Nao:  Mi-chan!
Jun:  Owowow…
Nao:  Thanks for your textbook.  You want to leave now?
Mi-chan:  Well, I still have somewhere to go.
Jun:  <III>
Nao:  Thanks then!

Jun:  Mi-chan!!  You know Yoshikawa!?
Mi-chan:  Um… yes?
Jun:  Geez~ why didn’t you say so earlier~  I could have asked you first if she 
had a boyfriend or not.
Mi-chan:  Eh?  So you mean, you were rejected by Nao?
Jun:  I’ve heard that she’s going out with class A’s Hisashi?  This rumor’s 
pretty well known, but I guess I just didn’t hear…
Mi-chan:  Ah!  But, their relationship is actually false.
Jun:  Whaa?

Jun:  False!?  Why!?
Mi-chan:  Well, there are quite a few reasons…
Jun:  What reasons!?
Mi-chan:  Well, I can’t say…
Jun:  <Well!  I won’t just roll over and give up, now!>  Nao!

Nao:  Jun-chan!  What’s up?
Jun:  Nao… I heard that you and Hisashi aren’t really going out…
Nao:  Where… where did you hear that from…
Jun:  You mean it’s true!?  Why are you guys faking this~…
Nao:  Uh, well…

<sound FX: students murmuring>
Nao:  <This is not the place to tell…>  Jun-chan, let’s go somewhere else!

Jun:  Nao, you live by yourself?  You can make this much money in high school?  
And it’s such a nice place, too…
Nao:  It’s because of my situation, that…  <I’m such an idiot!  What made me 
bring him home!?>  <I’ll just take care of this before Hisashi gets back, 
otherwise we’re toast…>
Jun:  Eh?  These are guys’ boxers?
Nao:  These are my brother’s, he lives here too~  it’s true~
<sound FX: snatch!>

Nao:  <Dangit, I just told another lie…>  I was just going to tell a little 
white lie, but it’s getting complicated…
Jun:  Yesterday, you said that you were sure some girls liked me, maybe even as 
many as Uehara Hisashi.
Nao:  Hm?
Jun:  That was the first time anybody’s said something like that to me.  I was… 
really happy.

Jun:  Yesterday, I thought you were already attached, so I was just going to let 
it rest… but, to know that it was fake makes me want to try even harder.

Nao:  That was also the first time anybody’s ever told me they liked me, so I 
was really happy.  Even though you can’t tell anybody, it’s true that we aren’t 
going out.  Furthermore, there aren’t reciprocal feelings between us…
Jun:  So then… could you go out with me…
Nao:  But, I like Hisashi.

Nao:  Kyaa~ why did I just say that out loud?
Jun:  I’ll be going home now…
Nao:  What?  Want me to show you the way out?  You know where the door is?
Jun:  Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.  I want to be alone.
Nao:  Huh?  Oh, really.
<sound FX: door closes shut>
Nao:  Whew~

Nao:  <Man, my heart’s beating so quickly right now!!>  <Well, I did just tell 
somebody else that I liked Hisashi~>  <If just this is getting me all riled up, 
I’ll need to practice like crazy for when I actually confess my feelings to him, 
or my heart might just stop altogether…>  I’m just not made for things like 
love!
<sound FX: door opening>
Nao:  <What?  The sound of a door opening…>  <It’s only the early evening, so 
“those types of guys” wouldn’t be prowling around yet.>  <And when I came in I 
locked the door, so it wouldn’t be the wind…>  <…..>

Nao:  <No…>  <It wouldn’t be…>

Hisashi: …..
Nao:  <He heard~!?>
