 11/01 Notes:  I need the name for the girl prancing after Hisashi, "Lamb"!  
These are from Chinese-English, and don’t count on perfect accuracy b/c I prefer 
nicer sounding translations than word-for-word ones.  If there are mistakes, 
please let me know!  Especially things with names and such.  Thanks, and enjoy

Nao:  <Marina looks really pissed…>  Um… well… <Can I tell her that we’re only 
“fake-going out”?>  <But, she already knows that the two of us live together.>

Nao:  Truth is…
Marina:  Why didn’t you tell me!?  Are we strangers or something!?
Nao:  <Eh?>
Marina:  I know you’re too shy to say “I have a crush on Uehara Hisashi” 
outright.  But, what I’m trying to say, is that you didn’t tell me, and that 
hurts my feelings.

Nao:  Marina… That’s not how it is~
Marina:  In fact, I’ve known that you liked him for a long time.
Nao:  <Huh?>
Marina:  You’re amazing!!  You’re captured the heart of “THE Uehara Hisashi”!!  
You caught the big one!!  Although, you’ve already used up all your romance luck 
in one go.  So how far have you guys gotten?  Since the two of you live 
together, I’m assuming you’ve already done it?
Nao:  Hey, listen now~

Nao:  It’s a façade!  We’re “fake-going out”!
Marina:  A façade?
Nao:  It’s not at all like what you just implied!
Marina:  But~ don’t you like him?
Nao:  Why do you keep bringing that up?  When have I said I liked him before?
Marina:  Harrumph!  You think you can fool me?  I have a knack for these sort of 
things, even if you don’t say it out loud!

Nao:  Even if I don’t say… yeah, right.
Hisashi:  I’m back~  Who’s over?
Marina:  Ah!  Hisashi!  Welcome back!  I hope I’m not bothering you.
Hisashi:  I’m hungry, I want food!
<FX: look~>
Nao:  Okay, okay.  <What!?  Me, like him!?>  <Uehara Hisashi!?>

Hisashi:  What are you mulling over?
Nao:  <That’s an impossibility…>  Ow!
Hisashi:  I want food!
Nao:  Okay, okay.
Hisashi:  Nao!
Nao:  <What do you want!?>
Hisashi:  For you!
Nao:  Hm?
Hisashi:  Here.

Nao:  Ah… thanks… <…..>  <Usually he’s so cold, but at other times he’s sweet… 
he’s not too bad a guy.>

Nao:  <Huh?  A girl’s calling Hisashi!?>  <Who’s Lamb!?>  They’ve gone out 
together!?  And she speaks so informally with him.  What in the world?

Hisashi:  She’s the daughter of my boss.  You wanted a straightforward answer.
Nao:  From work?  That video place?
Hisashi:  No, the convenience store.

Hisashi:  She wanted to watch a movie and asked me to go with her.
Nao:  I see… <But concerning his personality, you’d think he’d turn her down.>  
<Though he can’t refuse food.>  <What sort of a girl is she?  Uu~ I’m thinking 
about it more and more>  My brain’s gonna explode~
<sound FX: slap>
Nao:  <Ah?  I’m caring?  Why?>
Marina:  This is called jealousy!

Hisashi: …..
Nao:  Hi!  Heheh~ just visiting!
Hisashi:  What do you mean just visiting~ how did you know where I worked!?
Nao:  Kevin told me.
Hisashi:  That little~
Kevin:  Huh?  I wasn’t supposed to say?

Nao:  It’s just a visit!  Keep your pants on~ we’re far away from the school, so 
it’s not like anybody’s going to see us!  Calm!  Calm!
Hisashi:  You telling me to be calm is a dangerous thing!
Nao:  Wah!  Great!  This place has chocolate pudding!  You’ve found a good place 
to work at.
Hisashi:  Are you even listening?
Lamb:  Wah!  Hisashi!  You’re here again!
Hisashi:  Lamb!
Nao:  <Huh!?>

Nao:  <That’s “Lamb”!?>  <She’s so… so cute…  and pale!>  <Yuri’s gorgeous too.  
Why are all the girls he likes so beautiful?>
Lamb:  Friend of yours?
Hisashi:  Unfortunately, my roommate. 
Nao:  What’s that supposed to mean!?

Landady:  Excuse me, excuse me!  I’m over here!  Look down!

Landlady:  Hya?

Hisashi:  Landlady-san!  No wonder I couldn’t see you, you’re so short!
Nao:  Wa~ it’s been a long time!
Landlady:  You two look well!  Aiya~ Hisashi, you’re working here?  It’s tough, 
hm~
Lamb: …..
Hisashi:  Yeah, I have to because I have no money.  It all goes to paying rent 
each month.
Lamb:  Hisashi, you live by yourself?
Nao:  Ah!
Lamb:  Wow, I didn’t know about that!  Can I come over sometime?
Hisashi:  Huh?

Landlady:  Oh yeah!  The two of you live together!  How is it working out?

Lamb:  Live… together…
Hisashi:  Landlady-san!!
Landlady:  Aiya?  I wasn’t supposed to say?
Hisashi + Nao:  Of course not~
Lamb:  Landlady-san, tell me what’s going on!  These are from my store.

Landlady:  Let’s see…  Aiya!  Thank you!
Hisashi + Nao:  Landlady-san~!!  How could you be bribed by rice crackers!?
Hisashi:  This is all, completely your fault!  Ugaa~
Nao:  Ooh, I’m sorry, alright?

Hisashi:  Now I’m gonna get fired.  I should go find somewhere else to work.
Nao:  Ah…  S-sorry…
Hisashi:  Forget it!  These sort of places are two-steps-three-stores, there 
won’t be a problem finding another job.  Good girl, good girl.
Nao:  Sorry~ Oo oo…
Lamb:  Hisashi, don’t worry about it!  I won’t tell anybody else.
Hisashi:  Huh?

Lamb:  Heehee~  But I sure would like to see your place!  Waa~ you live in this 
complex?  It’s pretty!
Hisashi + Nao: …..
Nao:  Whisper  Why did you have to bring her~
Hisashi:  Whisper  There was no helping it!  The landlady already told her where 
we lived!

Lamb:  Wow!  And the inside’s beautiful~
Hisashi:  I have to make a phone call, so sit anywhere you want.
<FX: qui~et…>
Nao:  Ah!  Would you like to look at my room?  It’s over here.  <What’s the 
matter with her?  She’s so quiet all of a sudden.>  <She was even giggling 
earlier>  <I know!>  <This girl must have a crush on Hisashi>  <and seeing my 
room must be making her jealous.>

Lamb:  What a boring room!!
Nao:  <Huh?>
Hisashi:  Hey!  I have some cake.
Lamb:  Ooh!
Nao:  <Did she…>  <Just say something bratty?>  <Was I hearing wrong?>  Well… 
I’ll make the tea then.
Lamb:  Oh!  I’ll help!

Nao:  <Was that Lamb who said that…..>  <Couldn’t have been>  It must have been 
my hearing wrong.  Hm?  …..

Nao:  Kyaaaa!!
Hisashi:  !?  What’s wrong!?
Lamb:  Nothing!  I was just joking around.  Heheh
Nao:  What~ don’t scare me like that!
Lamb:  Go back to whatever it is you were doing!

Lamb:  Hisashi!  Sorry if I surprised you guys!
Nao:  <This girl…  is there something she’s not telling anyone!?>
<sound FX: turns around>
Lamb:  Feh, what an un-feminine girl you are.  Now me, I wear size C-cup!
Nao:  Hah!?  An elementary school kid!
[Translator’s note:  now that’s just gross…]
Lamb:  Hisashi wouldn’t like such a boobless, unwomanly girl like you, so!  This 
business about the two of you living together, I’ll just ignore it~  You’re like 
a flat plain!

Lamb:  If you’re going to actually think that, you’re sorely mistaken.  Do you 
actually think I’d like Hisashi live with another girl!?  I’m so gonna kick you 
out!
Nao:  What!?

Hisashi:  Are you guys finished yet?
Lamb:  Okay!  We’re just about done!
Nao: …..
<FX: beyond speechless>
Hisashi:  I have to go to the bathroom.
Lamb:  Ah!  My cake!  If you eat too much of this stuff, be careful of where it 
goes, before you get fat!

Nao:  <Damn~>  <What a little brat~>
Lamb:  I’ll be on my way now!
Nao:  <And don’t come back!>
Lamb:  Hisashi, really consider my suggestion, okay?
Hisashi:  Hm?  Okay…
Nao:  ~?

<sound FX: door closing>
Nao:  What suggestion?
Hisashi:  Hm?  She asked if I wanted to live on the second floor of their store, 
because it’d be more convenient.
[Translator’s note:  In Asian countries, many people live directly above their 
store, or at least that’s how it is in Taiwan.]
Nao:  <That would mean…>  <He’d move out?>  So… have you made a decision yet?

Hisashi:  This sort of offer isn’t one she can just dish out on a whim.  This is 
all her own wishful thinking.
Nao:  I see… Whew  <Wait, what was that “whew” for?>
Hisashi:  Were you getting angry again?
Nao:  Ah?  It’s nothing!!

Hisashi:  ?
Nao: …..  <Urrggh~ where did all these feelings come from~>  <I ‘ve just 
realized,>  <When Lamb made that offer,>  <All I could think was that I didn’t 
want Hisashi to leave, that I didn’t want that girl to steal him away.>  <So,>  
<as Marina said, I think I like him…>
