Miyu: [wait a minute] You're leaving me behind and moving to America?!
mother: That's right.
mother: It can't be helped, Miyu.

(her mother holds up a newspaper article)
mother: Yesterday, you're mother was selected to be an astronaut!
Miyu: Then... why can't you take me with you...?
(the TV is turned on behind them)
TV: ... Well Kouzuki-san, how do you feel after being chosen?
TV (Mrs. Kouzuki): I'll tell you about my dream of outer space.
TV (Mrs. Kouzuki): I have a dream that we'll be able to find new life out there 
in space.
mother: See!!
mother: Miyu, your mother is a star of the people!!
Miyu: Everyone has great expectations for me!

mother: Your father has also been summoned to NASA as a scientist.

mother: We'll be concentrating so much on our training over there that we 
wouldn't be able to look after you.
mother: You understand, don't you Miyu?!
mother: Besides,
mother: I've already asked an acquaintance to take care of you while we're gone.

Miyu: ... Wai--!
mother: His name is Saionji-san.

mother: The place where he lives is very spacious and is almost like a mansion.
mother: I've heard that the view is very nice there too...
Miyu: ... Wait.
Miyu: ... Why do you always, always...
Miyu: decide all these things on your own?!!

(Miyu's parents fly away to America on a plane)
parents: [bye-ee!]
Miyu: ... So, that's how it is...
(Miyu lugs her bag up a hill to her new residence)
Miyu: [urgh] ... Why do only I have to end up doing this?

Miyu: ... It's a buddhist temple.
(she crumples to the ground)
Miyu: I've been tricked.
Miyu: (approaching the entrance) [pardon me]
Miyu: I wonder if anyone's here...?
(she sees an old man kneeling in front of the altar)
Miyu: [ah]
Miyu: Um... excuse me...

old man: Who are you?
(Miyu falls over)
old man: (taking off the mask) Oh my.
old man: Sorry, sorry.
old man: I only meant to play a little prank, in order to get rid of your 
nervousness on our first meeting.
old man: This is your room, Miyu-san.
old man: You must be tired today after coming such a distance.
old man: If you'd like, you can take a bath before dinner.

(Miyu sits in a hot bath)
Miyu: ... Hmm.
Miyu: It looks like I've ended up in a weird place.
(she gets out of the bath)
Miyu: [oof...]
voice: [I'm home!]
(the door to the bathroom slides open)

(a boy stares at her in surprise from the doorway, and Miyu stares back)

boy: Uh...
Miyu: ... Per-pervert!!
(she throws her wash basin at him)
(the boy runs over to the old man, with the basin still on his head)
boy: Dad!!

boy: Who is that...?!!
old man: Ohh, Kanata. What's the fuss all about?
boy: Don't give me that! When I went to go take a bath, there was some weird 
girl in there...!
old man: Oh, so you met Miyu-san!
old man: That girl is Kouzuki Miyu, who will be living with us starting today.
(Miyu trembles in the bathroom)
Miyu: ... Who was that?
Miyu: I don't really understand what just happened, but
Miyu: he saw me naked......

(the three of them sit around the dinner table, in a tense atmosphere)
old man: Sorry about what happened, Miyu-san.
old man: Allow me to introduce my son, Kanata.
old man: He was raised without a woman's touch, so he's a little rough around 
the edges.

old man: [hey!] Kanata, greet her properly!
Kanata: I didn't hear anything about this.
old man: I'm expaining it to you now, aren't I?
Kanata: [excuse me!] You never tell me about anything until the very last 
minute!
Kanata: It'll be totally depressing to have to live with a stupid girl!
Miyu: Excuse me--
Miyu: What do you mean "a stupid girl"?! You were happy enough staring at my 
naked body!
Kanata: ... Who was happy?!
