Story 89: Saviour of the World, Appear!

Narration: Because he lost his favourite comic book, Daimaou 
	   went into a wild frenzy! At this rate the whole of
	   magic land is going to be destroyed. What to do? 
	   Please saviours of Magic Land, think of an answer!!

[Daimaou is reading a comic book about himself... ^^]

[The trio are in their ranger suits.]

Shiine: "This is too much..."

Cha Cha: "As long as he's reading a comic book, he's at peace."

Heihachi: "Tokusan, Can my dad hang around here for a while?"

Tokusan(he owns the comic shop): "No sweat, Heihachi, it's all for peace in Magic 
		  		  Land!"

Popy: He actually <i>knows</i> the guy who runs this place...

Cha Cha: "It's great that Daimaou as calmed down. <small>ah! it's over...</small>"

//POM// [The ranger suits disappear.]

Riya: "Medetashi! Medetashi!" 

{Ok, I don't know what's "medetashi"}

Heihachi: "Please don't be so naive..."

[Takes a serious tone...]

Heihachi: "There are about 15000 comic books here, but my dad has some 50, 000 
	   comic books. When he finishes reading all the comics here, he's going 
	   to scream again."

Cha Cha and Shiine: "AH!"

Heihachi: "The next attack could very well blow the whole world into itsy bits. 
	   Hee Hee! <small>how troublesome</small>"

Popy: "What are you laughing about?! It's all your fault to begin with, so think 
       of something!!!"

[Heihachi points at Cha Cha, Riya and Shiine.]

Label over Heihachi and Popy: Comic buyers.

Heihachi: "We'll go and buy back all the sold comic books, the 3 of you can watch 
	   over my dad. <small>Aren't you guys best buddies?!</small>"

Label over the trio: Guardians.

[Cha Cha, Riya and Shiine just sweatdrop.]

Cha Cha: "Are we so good?"

Shiine: "With Popy around, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Unless..."

Cha Cha: "Don't you dare go and play any GAMES..."

Riya: "And hurry back!"

[Heihachi sweatdrops.]

Heihachi: "Am I <i>that</i> useless..."

[Heihachi and Popy(with Naruto) leave the comic shop.]

Heihachi: "From the looks of it, I'm going to have to borrow cash. Hee hee"

Popy: For a person who's desperate the save the world, doesn't he think that 
      comic books could be borrowed.

[Riya doesn't give up...]

Riya: "MAKE SURE YOU COME BACK SOON!!"

[Inside the comic shop]

Sign: "14980 comic books till the end of the world"

[The trio sweatdrop.]

Cha Cha: "Well 15,000 comic books is going to take a while to read, right?"

Shiine: "If he were to finish one book every 5 minutes, he'll still have to 
	 read for 52 days."

Cha Cha: "Oh, then there's nothing to worry about!!"

Shiine: "What a relief!"

Riya: "We can happily wait till Heihachi niisan returns."

{niisan is brother.}

[But...]

Comic Shop Owner: "1248 comic books till the end of the world!!"

[The trio facefaulted.]

Cha Cha: "Wait a second!!"

Shiine: "Are you sure you drew correctly?"

{This is a pun, refers to whether Ayahana-sensei drew correctly ^^}

Riya: "How is it possible to read that fast?!"

Label: Eye-witness, Tokusan.

Tokusan: I saw it with my own eyes, he read through every single comic 
    book from beginning to the end."

//mite// [Daimaou stares at the cover of a comic book.]

Tokusan: "Furthermore, if he sees the cover of a book he likes..."

Sign: Photocopy corner

Tokusan: "...he'll enlarge the pix at the photocopier..."

Daimaou: "I can past this on my wall."

Tokusan: "And he'll notice when did each comic chapter appear, in which 
     magazine, during which month!"

Riya: "Then he couldn't possibly have read so fast!!"

Tokusan: "BUT HE'S READING THE BOOKS AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!!"

Trio: "WHAT!!!"

Tokusan: "And while we were talking..."

Sign: "523 comic books till the end of the world!!"

//AHHHHHH// [Cha Cha, Riya and Shiine start screaming.]

Trio: "WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?"

//BOM// [Cha Cha casts a spell.]

Cha Cha: "TIME, please STOP!!"

[But she got some oranges stopping in mid-air. ^^]

Cha Cha: "I said TIME(jikan) not ORANGES(mikan)!!"

{<i>Jikan</i> and <i>Mikan</i> sound alike...}

Riya: "When was the last time you did magic?!!"

//la la la// Daimaou: "Time to read the last book!"

[Cha Cha, Riya, Shiine just turn pale.]

Trio: "OMIGOD! He's going to read the last book!!"

[Just then...]

Daimaou: "Ah!"

[Lizard takes the last book from the shelf!]

Daimaou [gawking]: "........."

//nikkori// [Lizard smiles so happily.]

Lizard: "Wait your turn..."

Note: Lizard is Seravi's father. He's 253 years old. 
      On the outside he looks like a pretty girl, but in 
      actual fact he's a giant male lizard. He has just 
      awaken from hibernation, normally he's just sluggish 
      but now he's slightly worst than that.

Daimaou: "Aw..."

Riya: Great work! Grandpa!

Cha Cha: I didn't know grandpa read comic books!

Shiine: Please read it <i>slowly</i> ok?

[Lizard heads over to a nearby table.]

Lizard: "I'm going to sit down."

[Lizard opens the comic book.]

Lizard: "Now where did I stop the last time I read this book?"

Trio: "WHAT??!"

Daimaou: "Does that mean, you'll finish reading soon?"

[Lizard flips through the comic book. 5 mintues later.]

Lizard: "Where did I stop the last time?"

[Daimaou gawks!]

Daimaou: "WHAT?! You mean you haven't started reading yet?"

Lizard: "Ah! At this page, where the main star Machiko got hit by 
	a car. Because it wasn't very memorable I forgot all about 
	it."

Sign: "122 pages till the end of the world."

Daimaou: "I bet you've forgotten the whole story already."

[Lizard wets his finger with his tongue before turning the pages.]

//koraaa// Daimaou: "HEY HEY! Don't wet your fingers with saliva 
		     before turning the pages. It's not YOUR comic 
		     book, it's EVERYONE'S." 

Lizard: "But... my hands are so old and dry, it's so hard to flip 
	 the pages."

Daimaou: "Then stick on some fingernails. Fingernails."

Box: "Stick-on fingernails"

[Daimaou starts sticking Lizard's nails for him.]

[After that...]

Lizard: "Let's see, where should I start reading?"

Daimaou[agitated]: "From the page where Machiko was knocked by a car!"

Lizard: "oh...oh... ah the hospital! Machiko is saved?!"

Daimaou: "Can't you understand the story without reading out loud."

Cha Cha: "Grandpa is really using this super super slow speed."

Shiine: "Actually he's naturally this slow, but it's still cool."

[Lizard looks discourage.]

Lizard: "......"

Cha Cha: "What is it?"

Lizard: "These words are too small, I can't read them clearly. 
	<small>because I have bad eyesight.</small>

Daimaou: "THIS IS A MAGNIFYING GLASS!! TAKE IT!!"

Riya and Shiine: "Is he really so thoughtful?!"

Lizard: "I really don't know how to thank you."

Daimaou: "No need for thanks, just finish reading the book, 
	  there's someone waiting for it!!"

Lizard: "Ah... now where did I stop?"

Daimaou: "ARE YOU QUITE DONE YET?!!"

Daimaou: "You are reading too slowly!! Lend it to me first, 
	  and I'll return it to you in a second!"

Riya: This time we're dead meat.

Cha Cha: The world is going to end in his hands.

Shiine: Please don't let him!!

Lizard: "NO WAY!!"

[Daimaou is shocked... and ticked off.]

Trio: But then again, it could make him even angrier and...

Lizard: "How dare you jump the queue! I wonder who taught you 
	 to be such a bad kid!!"

Daimaou: ".....bad kid?..."

Trio: "........."

Daimaou: "Ok ok, I get it, I'll wait, just keep reading."

Lizard: "That's good."

Cha Cha: "Look like no one can beat Grandpa."

Lizard: "From where do I continue?"

Daimaou: "FROM THE 2ND BOX ON PAGE 88!!!"

Lizard: "Oh, you're so sure!"

Daimaou: "Because I'm observing you!!"

Shiine: "Speaking of which, Daimaou sure has a lot of patience."

Riya: "If it were me, I'd go crazy."

[Daimaou tolerates how time slowly flew.]

Sign: "94 pages till the end of the world."

[4 hours later.]

Sign: "15 pages till the end of the world."

[The trio start to worry.]

Cha Cha: "Where the heck did Heihachi niisan go?!"

Shiine: "He doesn't understand how we feel!!"

Trio: Ahhh!! It's going to end.

Sign: "7 more pages till the end of the world."

Daimaou: "Yes, soon it will be over."

[Suddenly...]

Lizard: "AH!!!"

Daimaou: "WHAT IS IT?"

//look// Lizard: "Machiko actually kissed a guy I don't know!!"

Daimaou: "THAT'S HER BOYFRIEND!! HOW DID YOU READ THE BEGINNING?!!"

Lizard: "Is that so? From where did he appear from?"

[Lizard starts flipping back the pages.]

Sign: "63...125...167... pages till the end of the world."

Daimaou: "AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Don't flip back the pages!!"

Cha Cha: Wonderful!

Daimaou: "I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!! GIVE ME THAT!! I'LL READ IT 
	  FIRST, AND GIVE IT BACK TO YOU!!"

Trio: "AHH!! Daimaou is going to blow his top!!"

Sign: "1 book till the end of the world."


(Page 14)
[Lizard starts tearing.]

Lizard: "You terrible terrible terrible terrible person!! GIVE IT BACK~ 
	 I WANT TO READ FIRST!"

//BA// [Lizard snatches the book back.]

[Daimaou is taken aback.]

Sign: "Because the book was snatched back, it's 183 pages till the end of 
       the world."

[Daimaou snatches the book back!]

Daimaou: "I'm... I'm not going to let you even if you do cry!"

Sign: "Back to 1 book till the end of the world."

Lizard: "Hey!"

[The fight continues.]

Lizard: "NO! I WANT TO READ FIRST~"

Riya: "Go Grandpa!!"

Lizard: "Give it to me!!"

Daimaou: "NO!"

Cha Cha: "... the fate of the world lies in that comic book."

Shiine: "It looks likes a kiddish little squabble, but it 
	 determines whether the world will end."

//BAN// [Suddenly Seravi and Dorothy appear!]

Seravi: "DAD!!"

Cha Cha: "Ah! Teacher Seravi!"

//sun sun// [Seravi walks towards Lizard.]

Seravi: "I'm here to deliver your reading glasses... you're fighting 
	 with someone again. <small>aren't you ashame of yourself?</small>"

Lizard: "It's not my fault! It's his fault!"

[Daimaou starts looking funny the moment he saw Seravi.]

Daimaou: "ah... ah..."

Riya: "Huh?"

Shiine: "Daimaou looks so weird."

[Daimaou says something but we only see a blank caption.]

Seravi: "Huh?"

Narration: "What did Daimaou scream out after seeing Seravi?"

Riya: "The answer will be revealed in the next story."
