My Japanese isn't so great. So neither are the translations. I've done my
best, with the help from the Summaries on Nakayoshi's page. If you discover
anything blatantly wrong, please e-mail me. Just remember that these are
presented in the spirit of fun and friendship. Most of the sound effects
will be left with the original Japanese sound because they just sound
right, better than any English, thunks or thuds.

Naoko-"The next night they had their courage test."

Naoko-"It may have been at that cave."
Chiharu-"I want to snoop! I want to see what's hidden in the grotto!"
Chiharu-"It may continue way in the back."
Naoko-"There is a continuation at the grotto, a little spring, and a shrine
there."

Naoko-"There's a long bridge that you have to use to get to the shrine."
Naoko-"You have to leave a candle there to prove your courage."
Naoko-"In groups of two the students carried their candles across the
bridge but…"
Naoko-"The bridge is very long."
Naoko-"And no one ever returned."
Naoko-"The bridge is very long, but soon the students became late. The
teachers thought it was strange, so they went to look for the missing
students…"
